Well, I'm glad everyone else finally realizes...

...that Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot. Naturally, he assumes that people want Obama to succeed NOT because it would be good for the country, but because it is the politically correct thing to do. It's as if everything is a conspiracy by the ACLU, and at any point in time the angry white masters will jump out and say "gotcha" to the country when they fall into the trap of the 'liberal elite'. Eighteen million people listen to Rush every day (they call themselves 'dittoheads'. I'm told its a compliment). That's dangerous for any one person to have, let alone a psychopath who is openly racist and totalitarian. Do you know who else drew a close-knit following during economic turmoil and racial insecurities. If his named started with Adolf, you would be correct. I can think of only a couple of things that even come close to being as terrifying as that. They are, in descending order:

3.) The fact Rob Blagoevich is actually denying his misdeeds as governor. He was on tap and INVITED THE FEDS TO DO SO. Essentially, he is using the "you're a towel" defense- turn the solid facts around on the accuser, who is not affected in the least by the application because it isn't true.

2.) The fact that Alan Colmes has left Hannity and Colmes, which means it "Hannity's America" every day! AHHH! Guests include the infamous Rush, Bernard Goldberg (AIPAC lackey) and the dreadful harpy itself, Ann Coulter (I actually recoiled when I saw that she was allowed on a network news station after that stunt she pulled by calling John Edwards a faggot). There is some good news though; Fox Noise is out of the closet as a conservative-leaning station. It took 8 years to admit, but we're making progress.

1.) The scariest thing of all- 50 million people voted to put Sarah Palin one step away from the red button. Palin's religious beliefs say that she must support Israel so that they will build the temple of the antichrist and bring about the end of the world, where we will all burn in a lake of fire except for her and her ilk. The fact that someone was almost allowed to accelerate this dellusion is extremely alarming and downright irresponsible. This can NEVER be allowed to happen again.

The Winter Solstice

Lets make something clear, as this is really getting out of hand. The Winter Solstice, which is celebrating the longest day of the year and the beginning of a "new year" (based off of pagan sun god religions and then eventually secular festivities), has been TAKEN from the atheists by the christians. The Winter Solstice has been celebrated for thousands of years, certainly before Christmas was even thought of. The Christians have now hijacked our holiday and are using it to celebrate the birth of their "savior". To be fair, the Christians also want Jesus to be the savior of people who DON'T see him as such, so if they can impose those beliefs on us, why not impose their religious customs too? Now, I'm willing to negoiate. I won't say "Happy Winter Solstice" if you don't say "Merry Christmas". Happy holidays is fine, it includes both of our beliefs. The problem arises from the fact that Christians are, yet again, refusing to compromise and give back ANY of what they have taken.

This does, however, lead into a humorous storey that pretty much sums up the atheistic intellectual domination over our weaker breathern of faith. Last week, a church in a small town in Washington state was given permission to put up a nativity scene outside of their government building (illegal). To combat this, the atheists were allowed to put up a sign next to the scene (also illegal, but at least fair and balanced). The sign read: "During this, the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail. There are no demons, no angels, no god, no devil, no heaven and no hell. Religion is but myth and superstition that acts to harden the heart and enslave the mind." Which is awesome. When Bill, Oh REALLY? found out about this, he was outraged, and demanded that the atheist sign (but not the Christian sign, mind you) be taken down. After a week of bitching, one of his psychopathic listeners stole the "Winter Solstice" part of the sign and dropped it off at a local radio station. When the atheists got it back, they attached a sign that said "Thou shalt not steal. Exodus 20:15."

You would think with this level of superiority, the Christians would understand logic and reason will overpower their belief and faith any day. Sadly, this isn't the case, as they persist in their irrational and bigoted ways.

Prop 8 is Ridiculous

I still cannot believe that California voted down gay marriage. I still don't see how anyone can OPPOSE gay marriage. I understand that there are people who think it is a choice to be gay, but why would anyone choose to be persectuted and isolated? In modification to this, there are some (like Ted Haggert) who believe the choice factor comes in when people choose to act on their homosexual emotions. So essentially, the Ted Haggerts of the world think that it is ok to not be sexually attracted to members of the opposite gender, but if you don't pretend to have those feelings you're a sinner and going to hell. The other argument is that the Bible, in Leviticus, condemns homosexuality as a sin ("Man shall not lie with man and he lies with woman, that is an abmonination"), but the Bible also suggests that slavery is acceptable and that people can be transported to mystical lands if they travel in the mouth of a giant fish.

The worst part about Prop 8 is that one in every 4 dollars was donated by a Mormon. The MORMONS are fighting for the "sanctity of marriage". The same religion that endorsed and practiced polygamy until the general public condemned it. If this issue couldn't get any more ridiculous, the religious have NO REASON TO DENY THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS. Even from a conservative Christian point of view, if gay people want to get married that is fine, God will judge them. There is absolutely no reason to curtail their rights here on earth because some people think there may be an afterlife and that afterlife is described completely within the Bible, and any deviation from this will doom humanity itself. I honestly don't understand why the right (and even some elements on the left) are so in favor of taking rights away from other people simply because THEY don't think that those people shold have them. Torture in US prisons is wrong but torture on Arabic-speaking non-believers is justified for national security. "Killing babies" is wrong but dead children in Iraq are the collateral damage of democracy. Marriage between a man and woman who aren't sexually attracted to one another is rational because acting out their true feelings counteracts the teachings of a book written 2 millenia ago.

How people can think these things and claim to be reasonable is downright disturbing. Although it is also disturbing that many who voted for Barack Obama because they would never want someones dreams to be dashed due to unchangeable circumstances (color) would vote against the dreams of people driven by unchangeable circumstances (sexual preference).

An Auto Bailout Would be an Epic Fail

In an unexpected move, the auto industry also decided to reveal that IT was failing as well (as if we didn't already know that). The problem is that they want 50 billion dollars to help stimulate their companies, and that isn't beneficial to anyone, except perhaps the workers who will keep their jobs for a few more months. Other than that, the companies seem to be missing the root of the problem: there is a HUGE decrease in demand for American-made cars. Other than the environmental damage caused by large, gas-guzzling American cars, they simply do not attract customers anymore. Would you prefer a Ford F-150 or a Toyoata Camary? I'd personally take the Toyota every time, because it is more efficient, more reasonably priced and overall better-looking (in my opinion, although I doubt many people on the left side of Dubya would disagree). So giving money to make MORE low-selling vehicles is not going to solve the problem. Another problem is, of course, the unions in the auto industry. Under the assembly line method, workers are extremely overpaid. If you're task is to put doors on cars, there is no reason you should be paid $30 an hour plus health benefits. Of course, the same problem results from the management. When there are way too many specialized managers, efficieny is minimalized, and the company as a whole suffers. Now, it would be nice to avoid giving the American auto industry any money, but they are already guareented 25 billion. The argument now stems from WHERE the new money should be sent- The Bush Administration wants to either not give the auto makers bailout money (good plan) or pass ANOTHER bill that would require an additional 25 billion to be taken from the treasurey, bringing the authorized total up to 725 billion dollars (really, really bad idea). The Democrats, on the other hand, want to redistribute the stolen money involved in the bailout, so Wall Street would only receive 675 billion dollars (still stupid, but slightly more conservative in regards to wasting money). The thing that neither group seems to understand is that giving money to the auto industryis like pouring sand into a funnel. And to think they expect a return on it! That's like agreeing to loan a crack head $1000, but demanding 25% interest, then being surprised when you get nothing back (except a very happy crack head). Overall, the auto industry is going to fail if things keep going this way, making the bailout another massive bureaucratic epic fail.

Although the auto industry may redeem itself if it moved into producing smart cars/ hybrid cars that were far more fuel efficient, tax deductable and more appealing. Then we wouldn't need to resort to even higher levels of protectionism and allow the free market to work- people will naturally choose vehicles that are more beneficial on their demand curves.

Can't They See?

I knew Barack Obama was going to win this election by a considerable margin. I did not know, however, the racial empowerment this would provide to black people, particulary the untermensch who voted for Barack because he happens to be black (98% of black people supported Barack). I was shocked and appalled at celebrations in the streets by ghetto trash, as if a black president means THEY will instantly start achieving. No, it wasn't their own laziness and inability that held them back all these years, it was because white people were in charge! I do see a deep irony in the fact that many black people voted for Barack Obama because of the color of his skin, not the content of his character. Furthermore, Barack's tax plan is the DEFINITION of tyranny of the majority. The poor and middle class are literally going to STEAL extra money from the rich to pay for things that the rich more than likely won't use/aren't eligible to use (unemployment, Medicare, welfare, government housing, etc., etc., etc.). This is wrong. For those who don't understand, here is a comparison:

Barack Obama didn't campaign to the wealthy, because he doesn't need their support to wrong them if the general population would give it to him. He is a man of the American people.

Adolf Hitler didn't campaign to the Jews, because he didn't need their support to wrong them if the general population would give it to him. He was a man of the German people.

While the two leaders are obviously drastically different, on this policy they are very similar in means of enacting a policy.

To be fair, the Republicans never stood a chance in this election. I knew that last year, when they lined up all of the potential Republican candidates and had them state their opinions. In this discussion, Ron Paul CORRECTLY pointed out that American foreign policy was directly responsible for the events of 9/11, not blind hatred. Guilliani quickly and angrily responded to this by saying "I was there on 9/11. Never again." And everyone clapped...for RUDY, as they thought he TAUGHT RON PAUL A LESSON. At that point I understood that jingoism and blind faith will continue to impede reason until we show them that this idiocy will no longer be tolerated.

Can't they understand that socialism won't work? Don't they know that America is responsible for any grievance between Iran and the United States? As they decry Dubya for violating Iraq's national sovereignity, they elect a man who has said he would do the same to Pakistan (a nuclearly armed state (armed by America, sardonically))? Can't they comprehend that if stealing from the rich and giving to the poor was a historically sound financial policy, any nation that employed it would be a power to reckon with? Or that any empire that imposed it would have survived for a millenia? Or that since neither of these things has worked that it isn't? Can't they see that the American democratic process is a sham, that the parties have the same corrupt and destructive foreign policy that continues to plunge this country deeper into death while giving support to the enemies of reason (Organized Religions around the world) and justice (Funding Israel and other human rights oppressing regimes). Can't they see that they have brought about their own destruction, through their own irrational ignorance and false hope.

No. They cannot. Until the proletariat realizes that universal truth is not measured in mass appeal, reason shall stay far, far away from here.
